After spending over 30 years in the construction, industrial, and specialized rental fields, Chris Claeys founded Temp Con Advisors LLC in 2025 to leverage all those years of experience to provide unmatched expertise and value to his clients.
Mr. Claeys joined the US Navy out of high school, and after graduating from the elite US Naval Nuclear Power School, he joined the Engineering Department aboard USS Richmond K. Turner CG-20, where he served in the Main Engine Room or "Main Control". It was here, forged in the fires of the superheated steam boilers that drove turbine engines and generators where the young Mr. Claeys learned discipline and to master all things power: both electrical and mechanical, as well as HVAC systems.
After the Navy, Mr. Claeys received a BA in Philosophy, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he was also nominated to Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn an MBA and an MS in Business Strategy from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Mr. Claeys spent over 2 decades working in specialized rental companies, where he became expert in temporary pumping, HVAC, and power generation. Working for firms such as Rain For Rent, Herc Rentals, and Sunbelt Rentals, in roles from Regional Sales Manager to Regional and District Manager and National Sales Director, he has built a solid reputation for innovation and visionary leadership within the rental industry.
He transitioned from the rental industry to Mobile Battery Energy Storage Systems BESS, where he lead the expansion of Ampd Energy into North America, pioneering the use of mobile BESS to power construction sites. He was the first to deploy a mobile BESS in North America to power a tower crane without the need for a diesel generator hybrid assist. He also developed use cases in film and media, as well as underground construction and mining.
Today, Mr. Claeys with Temp Con Advisors LLC, offers clients unmatched and unbiased experience and expertise.
